Getting Started

Before First Use:

Your Be Hydrogen system requires careful preparation before first use to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Begin by thoroughly cleaning all components using filtered water at a comfortable temperature not exceeding the 60℃ water temperature limit. The lid requires special attention – clean it gently while taking care to keep water away from the central pressure release mechanism (see diagram).

Assembly

Initial Assembly:

The system includes a protective orange stopper that must be removed in order to use the bottle:

  1. Begin by turning the bottle clockwise to separate the main from the generator base
  2. The orange stopper can be removed by gently pushing it through into the main body of the bottle before removing the lid to take the stopper out.
  3. Once removed, take the stopper out of the bottle and store it safely. You’ll need to re-insert it to protect the lithium-ion battery when travelling or storing for long periods of time

Bottle Assembly:

Correct alignment of the component parts ensures optimal performance:

  1. Look for the Be Hydrogen logo on your bottle and the USB-C charging port
  2. Line these up carefully, then turn the bottle anticlockwise until secure
  3. The logo should align with the display timer when properly assembled
  4. Complete the assembly by securing the lid

Power Management

Proper charging is essential for system longevity:

Initial Charge:

  1. Insert the USB-C cable into your device
  2. Connect to the supplied charging block
  3. Plug into a standard wall outlet
  4. Allow up to 3 hours for a complete charge
  5. Important: Avoid charging beyond 3 hours to protect battery life

Regular Charging:

  1. Watch for the LED display signaling low power
  2. Use only the recommended 5V charging equipment
  3. Never leave charging unattended
  4. Disconnect promptly when charging completes

Daily Operation

Your Be Hydrogen system requires specific operating conditions for safe and effective performance:

  1. Water Level Requirements
    • Always ensure water is present before activation
    • System must not be operated when empty
    • Add water to the indicated level mark for optimal performance
  2. Position Requirements
    • Maintain vertical orientation during use
    • Correct positioning ensures:
      1. Proper pressure management
      2. Effective gas release
      3. Secure lid operation
      4. Prevention of leakage
  3. Cycle Management
    • Allow system to rest between cycles
    • Maximum of two 10-minute cycles consecutively
    • Prevents excess pressure buildup
  4. Water Selection
    Your Be Hydrogen system requires specific water types for optimal performance:

    • Distilled water
    • Reverse osmosis filtered water
    • Quality filtered water (chlorine-free)

Using untreated tap water or chlorinated water can impact both performance and longevity, these water types are not covered in the warranty.

Creating Hydrogen-Rich Water

The system offers two production modes to suit your needs:

Standard Production (5-minute cycle):

  1. Press the power button once.
  2. Watch for the indicator light
  3. System produces water with up to 2.5ppm hydrogen
  4. Ideal for regular daily use

Enhanced Production (10-minute cycle):

  1. Press the power button twice
  2. System maintains indicator light
  3. Achieves up to 4.5ppm hydrogen concentration
  4. Perfect for when you need maximum hydrogen levels

For either mode, you can stop production at any time by pressing and holding the power button.

Optimal Consumption

For best results, consume your hydrogen-enriched water within 45 minutes of production. This timing ensures you receive maximum benefit, as hydrogen naturally dissipates over time.

Generator Performance Recovery

If you notice reduced hydrogen production or fewer bubbles, your system may need rejuvenation:

  • Preparation
    1. Prepare 200ml of warm filtered water in a separate microwave-safe container to no more than 60°C (the correct temperature is achieved by no more than 60 seconds in a microwave safe plastic container)
    2. Fill the system with the warm filtered water
    3. Run a complete 10-minute cycle
    4. Dispose of warm water with appropriate care
  • Recovery Process
    1. Refill the bottle to the indication line with filtered water (note: this should not be warm water as guided to in the initial preparation phase)
    2. Complete a final test cycle
    3. Empty and rinse thoroughly with filtered water

Important: Limit recovery attempts to two sessions. If performance issues persist, contact our support team

Regular Cleaning Process

Maintain optimal performance through regular maintenance:

Daily Care:

  • Empty remaining water after use.
  • Rinse thoroughly with filtered water.
  • Allow components to air dry.
  • Store upright with adequate ventilation.

Important: Always maintain a small amount of water in the base generator (see diagram).

Weekly Maintenance:

  • Deep clean bottle with mild soap (bottle shaft only, remove base generator & lid for this step)
  • Pay special attention to seals and connections
  • Ensure that no water enters the pressure release valve located on the inner circle of the lid.
  • Verify all components are functioning
  • Test system operation

Descaling & Maintenance

Keeping your Be Hydrogen system free from mineral buildup is essential for optimal performance and maintenance care should be done on a monthly basis.

When to Descale:

  • Reduced hydrogen production.
  • Visible mineral deposits.
  • Preventive maintenance.
  • After extended use.

Descaling Process:

Cleaning Mixture:

Mix in your Be Hydrogen bottle:

  1. 140ml filtered water
  2. 60ml white vinegar
Method:
  1. Fill bottle with the cleaning mixture
  2. Let this sit for 2 hours
  3. Empty and rinse thoroughly
  4. Complete until water runs clear
Completion:
  1. Run test cycle with filtered water
  2. Check hydrogen production
  3. Repeat if needed

Safety Guidelines

  • Keep away from direct sunlight.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures.
  • Protect from impacts or drops.
  • Store safely away from children.
